Supposedly a super rare occurrence of having a Super Blue Moon, J & S went out with me to the Northwoods for some Blue Hour portraits to try to get the moon in some fun shots. At first we just watched the remaining sunset light fade over the horizon and then the search for the moon began. We heard either a coyote or a wolf in the distance and listened to the summer insects singing the last of their evening songs.
I love how the blue hour, the time just after the sun is past the horizon, brings out a soft romantic light, how the calm environment highlights the emotional connection between two people.
